WHO WE ARE

"Understanding people is paramount to helping them strategize."

Killick Insights was founded in 2011 with a single vision: to strategize and partner with the most exciting clients on their most interesting projects. We now put a special emphasis on working with groups committed to making their community a better place, too. And we approach each of our clients with fresh eyes to develop customized, unique strategies.

Though we’ve grown since our founding, we’re still the same firm at heart. We would be happy to hear about your organization and your next project. Give us a call today.

The Past

Since Killick began over a decade ago, we are proud to have worked with clients who range from small start-ups to large enterprises that serve over a billion people monthly.

Strategy, Intellectual Property, and Board Management

As principal consultant, Bruce has consulted boards at executive levels in various strategic capacities, intellectual property protection and corporate frameworks for enhancing cross-functional cooperation, while increasing knowledge in negotiation and financial, organizational, and innovative governance structures. He brings a wealth of experience in program management and funds development, as well, having helped raise millions of dollars through proposal writing. He is co-author on two patents and was hired by the Atlantic Ocean Technology Hub OceansAdvance to develop frameworks for mid-term early-stage IP development between technology companies. Since then, he has worked within technology companies on early-stage intellectual property assessment and protection strategies.

Program and Project Management

As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) who holds a Project Management Masters' Certificate, Bruce has managed multi-million dollar innovation projects in both Canada and Australia.

Communications and Story-Telling

Bruce holds a strong communication and marketing background, having developed strategic initiatives as well as external and internal communications plans and campaigns, for hundreds of clients in over 17 different countries.

He obtained his degree with concentrations in English and Social Anthropology, where he studied and conducted ethnographies in various populations. He has channeled his love for story-telling into writing and editing and is a published author and ghostwriter.  Bruce has worked as a developmental editor at several brick-and-mortar Atlantic publishing houses, obtained his Professional Writing Diploma from MUN, and adjudicated several writing competitions including the esteemed Arts & Letters contest in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Present and Future

Bruce helps groups obtain and manage funds through  proposal development and project management, including financial and technical reporting. Since 2020, Bruce has partnered with Cree8ive Advisory and commits a sizable portion of his consulting work to partnering with groups who build or empower Indigenous communities and organizations. He is passionate about leveraging his skills to drive innovation, communication and growth in these areas.

Bruce recently obtained his Design Thinking Certificate. He believes all service-related firms should consider human-centred design in their strategic planning process.
